Dominick Massett died at age 92. He grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia, the son of Italian immigrants. He was drafted into the army and served 11 months in the Korean Conflict. When he returned home he was found to have contracted Tuberculosis and spent 18 months in a Veterans' Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia. After a long recovery from what was at one point a fatal illness, he attended college on the GI bill and became a shop teacher in Thurmont, Maryland. Together with his former wife Janet, now deceased, he raised 5 children. In spite of damaged lungs he lived a long and healthy life, dying at home at age 92.
