Arlington Virginia Taps for Veterans is hosting TAPS IN HONORED GLORY, a ceremony to honor the Centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and commemorate 100 years of sounding Taps at the Tomb.

Tomb of the Unkowns

The National Salute is a means to show our deep respect for our Unknown Soldiers and all veterans. On November 11, at 11:00 am your local time, we ask that you sound Taps as a remembrance of our honored Veterans.

On November 7, 2021, we commemorated the centennial of the Tomb of the Unknowns.

TapsForVeterans.org is organizing a nationwide sounding of Taps to honor General Colin Powell, the former national security adviser, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of State, who passed away October 18 at the age of 84.

TAPS FOR VETERANS encourages all buglers across the nation to sound Taps marking the 20th anniversary of 9-11 on Saturday September 11, 2021.

At 5 pm each day, Taps is sounded by a bugler at the National WW1 Memorial to honor the memory of 4.7 million Americans who finished a fight they did not start, in a land they had never visited, for peace and liberty for people they did not know.
